Spin The Mic UK 2017 – Rap Battle Event With a Twist – Mon 4th Dec

The trailer for the return of the 2017 Spin The Mic Rap Battle format in London. Yes, using footage from the 2006 Spin The Mic battles in London and New York.

Established in 2006 in the UK and US, Spin The Mic is a unique hip hop rap battle format where opponents are selected at random via the spinning of a microphone. Set in an underground gladiator style arena and based on Spin The Bottle, 16 MC’s are whittled down to 1 winner, if you lose you’re out, win and you nominate who battles next. If you’re fortunate enough to be the last man standing you’ll walk away with £1000 in prize money!

The first season of Spin The Mic featured the likes of iLLmaculate, The Saurus, NoCando and MC Riz aka the actor Riz Ahmed.
