Rumor: Rockstar Games to release Bully 2 after Red Dead Redemption 2

Rockstar Games is a very secretive company. They announced the long-awaited Red Dead Redemption 2 six months ago and haven’t said anything about it since. No new screenshots, trailers, or blog posts, just pure silence. We probably won’t hear anything new until around E3 in June.

However, sometimes the occasional leak slithers out of the tight walls of Rockstar Games and we hear whispers of what’s next. The latest rumor is that after Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar will release another very long-awaited sequel.

Reputable GTA insider, Yan2295, revealed on the GTA Forums that Bully 2 will be Rockstar’s next game.

Bully 2 is indeed in development and is supposed to be the next game after RDR2.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about a new Bully game, but it is the first time we’ve heard about it in years. In 2009, Bully composer Shawn Lee confirmed he was going to do the score for the sequel.

“Yes. It looks like I will be doing the soundtrack for Bully 2 in the not so distant future,”

Of course, that never released and it’s been heavily rumored that Bully 2 has been put into development several times but it’s unclear what exactly happened to those versions.

Many hoped that Rockstar would get around to finally releasing Agent, the James Bond-like PlayStation 3 exclusive that was announced in 2009. Sadly, it looks like that may be dead in the water if this rumor is true. One has to imagine Grand Theft Auto VI will be after Bully 2 (or whatever Rockstar does after RDR 2) which will take up lots of time and resources.

Of course, this is all pure speculation and we have no confirmation from Rockstar so take this all with a grain of salt.
