Mystery Figure Spotted Walking In The Clouds

Passengers on a EasyJet flight have been left baffled and spooked after a fellow passenger captured a very strange image. The picture was captured at around 30,000 feet on a flight from Austria to Cork, and it appears to show a mysterious figure walking on the clouds, with the figures shadow below.

Passenger Nick Donoghue immediately grabbed his camera when he spotted the strange figure.

He told papers “I was flying back from a work ski trip in Austria, I was on the window seat with two work colleges beside me. They were talking like crazy and I was gazing out the window, as you do. I could see this figure in the distance in front of us and then as we flew closer this shape appeared. He claims it was well in view for roughly two minutes and to looked similar to the Michelin man.

When the image was posted online, people rushed to weigh in with their offers of an explanation, with one person suggesting ” Two smoke stacks under the low clouds, so two streams of smoke. They connect a bit higher up, due to changes in air pressure or something.”

One internet used who claimed to be a pilot tried to give a more in depth and detailed situation claiming that “It’s a factory’s exhaust rising up through a low overcast. There must be a low level inversion and the smokestack gets the hot exhaust above the inversion. Beautiful pic! (I’ve seen this a couple times as a pro pilot).”
