Everything you need to know about the Drake/Meek Mill beef so far!
For those who are STILLĀ unaware of whats going down between OVO’s Drake & MMG’s Meek Mill, the whole beef began when Meek sent the following tweets:
Stop comparing drake to me too…. He don’t write his own raps! That’s why he ain’t tweet my album because we found out! 😁
ā Meek Mill (@MeekMill) July 22, 2015
Don’t compare me to none of the cats that don’t write they own raps either…… Lol
ā Meek Mill (@MeekMill) July 22, 2015
He ain’t even write that verse on my album and if I woulda knew I woulda took it off my album….. I don’t trick my fans! Lol
ā Meek Mill (@MeekMill) July 22, 2015
In summary, Meek is accusing Drake of not writing his own lyrics – This apparent exposure of āthe truthā backfired on Meek, especially when the Maybach Music rapper claimed fans compared him to Drake, which was bizarre in the least.
Things eventually came to light when Quentin Miller got involved, he is the ghost-writer in question, who did a reference track for Drake eventually came to be called āR.I.C.O.ā for Meekās āDreams Worth More Than Moneyā album. MillerĀ came forward to dismiss claims thatĀ he has ever āghost writtenā for Drizzy, saying it was more of a ācollaborationā. āI am not and never will be a āghost writerā for Drakeā¦ Iām proud to say that weāve collaboratedā¦ but I could never take credit for anything other than the few songs we worked on together,ā QM wrote on his Tumblr page. Fast-forward less than a week ago, Drake drops the initial blow with āCharged Upā.
In response Meek writes:
I can tell he wrote that 1 tho…… ā Meek Mill (@MeekMill) July 26, 2015
The Young Money rapper then sent a two-hit combo with this:
After days of waiting for the dust to settle, Meek then dropped āWanna Knowā. However, Joe Budden wants in on the feud ā possibly as a comeback for the disses surrounding his opinion on Meekās relationship with Nicki Minaj ā that has become strained.
