Young Pro Group Presents: We All Make the Game (Documentary)

Less than 1% of youth who enter football academies go on to play professionally as a career, however the world of football does not start and it certainly does not end on the pitch.

This documentary executive produced by Manny Boateng (Founder of Young Pro Group) follows the journey of Gabriel and TJ, two young talents from diverse backgrounds, and highlights the importance of exposure to career driven opportunities. Young Pro aims to support talent in achieving their potential through the Eco-system of football. There are thousands of careers available in football and many more available through the network of the game. Young Pro have made it their mission to support ambitious individuals like Gabriel and TJ in their goals towards long-term development and success.
The youth unemployment rate in the UK has been compounded by effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. In the last 12 months, one-third of 18-24 year olds have lost their jobs or been furloughed. The breakdown of youth unemployment is even more damming for ethnic minorities; 35% of black youths, compared with 24% of Asian and 13% of white youths lost their jobs in this period.

Unemployment is not always a reflection of the talent or capability of an individual. Access to opportunities and knowledge is a key determinant of success. Young Pro works with individuals, communities, brands, football clubs and institutions to expose young talent to knowledge and opportunities, and provide a pathway towards success in the future.
