Man JUMPS from the top of the SHARD

A base jumper caused onlookers a shock this morning by throwing himself from the Shard.

The daredevil sportsperson dived from London’s tallest building before parachuting safely to the ground below.

Jason Sudborough, a crane supervisor from Cranetech, was working on a job in nearby at Guy’s Hospital when he happened to look up and catch the flight on his phone.

Sudborough said he was impressed by the guts of the unknown jumper:

We were crane lifting medical scanners into the new cancer unit at Guys Hospital this morning when I just happened to look up and catch this guy parachuting down top of the shard. I work at height all the time so can appreciate the guts this guy has!

Met Police were called to the Shard at 10.18am, currently the 87th tallest building in the world.

The identity of the jumper remains unknown. No injuries were reported.
