DJ Logan Sama fired from BBC 1Xtra over “racist” tweets made in 2011 – 2013
If you don’t know who Logan is, he is a legend in the grime scene. Logan tweeted that he was excited to take monday back, talking about a live event he’s playing at. BBC 1Xtra’s monday night DJ TwinB got the wrong end of the stick and thought Logan was trying to take his Monday night slot, he then started tweeting about Logan using the term “Militant Black Women”.
I will no longer be bringing you a Grime show on @1xtra pic.twitter.com/giin6kxB7F

It's very nice to see how much my work is appreciated by so many, and for so many artists to speak positively of me. But I offended women and most of you are men. And people should rightly stand up for women in our society. Especially black women.
— Logan Sama (@djlogansama) November 8, 2017
What he said was wrong,he acknowledged that from time ago. Don’t think @djlogansama should of lost the show. Deffo a reach, especially if you know him.

he directly apologised years ago for his choice of language for at least one of the tweets everyone is hung up about

I think it started when Twin got the wrong end of the stick when Logan was tweeting about “taking back Monday nights” meaning he was excited about an event instead of taking Twin’s radio slot

Ooooh I'm quite enjoying Monday nights G. Couple "Militant Black women" might rear their head as well… you wouldn't want that 💁🏿 https://t.co/JckWZo5ELj
— Twin (@TwinB) November 3, 2017
This slightly arrogant "Monday is my night… takin it back". Errrrr 🤔. Set me up tbh. Twitter isn't REALLY the place to chat on things. But
— Twin (@TwinB) November 4, 2017
Needs to be said. Using the term "Militant black women" amongst other things said on twitter? Er… No! You can't be operating in black
— Twin (@TwinB) November 4, 2017
Culture and be chatting like that freely, especially when in discussion about the cultural origins of the music you play! And especially
— Twin (@TwinB) November 4, 2017
If you're a voice and communicator within black british culture… and not even black!
— Twin (@TwinB) November 4, 2017
Not only is it such a jarring term, but that and so many other prejudices that exist for different types of people that they have to "hold"
— Twin (@TwinB) November 4, 2017
Are so damaging, intolerant and narrow minded. 1 thing everyone in life is allowed is an opinion init. Whether they share or not is on them
— Twin (@TwinB) November 4, 2017
If it includes terms like Militant black women amongst other things, keep it in your head or in the pub with mates or better yet figure out
— Twin (@TwinB) November 4, 2017
How misguided and wrong it is and grow like we all have to… again especially if you're dealing with the types of people you have to.
— Twin (@TwinB) November 4, 2017
And I got your text last night bro. I re-edited it, put an apology in there somewhere and sent it back to myself 👍🏾
— Twin (@TwinB) November 4, 2017
I'm sorry that my tweet came across in a way that looked like I was challenging your radio slot. I was excited about a grime live event.

Lolol @CharlieSloth @1Xtra @BBCR1
— Twin (@TwinB) November 6, 2017

What a surprise @djlogansama and @MrExposed share the same disgusting views on black women pic.twitter.com/nSOO5MVXLX

What’s hilarious about the @djlogansama situation is these tweets were shown to the BBC ages ago. If he didn’t offend Twin B, he’d still be broadcasting.
